Edward Hopper Painting
The feeling of this painting is definately loneliness. The girl in the painting seems to be in her house, yet she seems to be sad. I like the fact that her face remains hidden so one has to imagine he rexpression rather than having it blantantly seen. Even without her face I still get the feeling that she is alone or sad. Hopper can express her emotions through body language, color, and the scenery which I think is pretty cool. Using this painting as an inspiration, I might paint myself or a friend with the same sort of isolation, while relying on other aspects to convey this rather than showing the face.
